It’s been a very busy 2022 for us at SCA with upgrading our course content, introducing an internship programme, new training providers, a sister company providing work for you, and new courses. Exciting!
At SCA we are focused on expanding and giving you the very best training.
We’ve included an extra two days on the ‘Sacred Celebrant of Avalon’ training. A certificated online course as a 'Civil Sacred Celebrant' in Composition and Script Writing. This course prepares you for conducting Civil Wedding Ceremonies that partner up beautifully with your Handfasting training.
2023 could prove a pioneering year for Celebrants once Parliament give the green light for Celebrants to be licenced to conduct legal marriages. This will be a good skill to have for when the marriage laws are changed, hopefully next year, and couples that choose you as their Celebrant may prefer a service that is a combination of symbolic actions and a written script. Handfasting actions included in civil wedding celebration ceremonies are becoming popular, and nobody does it better than you!
We have three Sacred Celebrant of Avalon courses in 2023, April, July and September. The September training will see a change in the course structure, by adding the ‘Sacred Anointing Ceremony for Beloveds’, a ceremonial lovers soul journey for couples based on the bible story in which Mary of Bethany ritually anointed the head and feet of Yeshua, drying his feet with her hair and applying oil of spikenard on him. In 2015, after a visionary experience of this, I wrote the Sacred Anointing ceremony for couples, that were to be married in the Goddess Temple Glastonbury with www.goddesstempleweddings.co.uk. This ceremony is a potent doorway for couples to step through and deepen the experience of the handfasting or wedding to follow the next day. On your training we shall connect with Christ consciousness, the Solar Messiahs, Sacred Masculine and Divine Feminine consciousness, Magdalene as a Myrrhaphore, or Myrrh bearer and oil bearing Priestess. You will be creating the temple space, working with incenses and ceremonially creating sacred oils that we supply for you from Jerusalem the Holy Land, activating the sensual attars for anointing, learning the techniques to hold the ceremony for couples that want to commit to each other in a deeply powerful way.
This incredibly powerful ceremony will replace the Passing Over Ceremony, which will now form part of our new course ‘Spiritual Funeral & Memorial Celebrant’ training, a seven days intensive with Priestess Dawn Kinsella & Sacred Civil Celebrant Sally Ingle. We are revolutionising the Funeral industry with our professional course structure, for Celebrants that are called to deliver a more spiritual service for the many people that fall under the umbrella of paganism. We cover all aspects of Funeral Celebrant work including, client care, Pagan etiquette, writing the eulogy and composition, working with the four elements of nature, how to conduct a spiritual based funeral service, ceremonial grief work, how to set up a death café and much much more! NEW YEAR NEW CAREER?
It can be a bit daunting starting out as a newly fledged Sacred Celebrant and so we provide a great support group with post training support and advice. Earlier in 2022 we decided to take the support up a few notches and launched our sister company ‘Find Your Celebrant’, that focuses on securing clients for you! FYC is a professional intermediary platform, where clients contact us for the very best Celebrants for their event, from Handfastings and weddings, to Naming Ceremonies and Funerals. There are no contracts to sign and no membership fees, we do all the work, social networking and talking to potential clients and pass them over to you, if you are covering their area! Some Seasonal Deliciousness
The festive season has a scent. Mince pies, Christmas cake, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, gingerbread… yummy… fill your home with the fragrance of Yuletide with this essential oil blend, either for a diffuser or in an oil burner with water.
· 2 drops cinnamon essential oil.
· 2 drops clove essential oil.
· 1 drop of nutmeg essential oil
· 5 drops wild or sweet orange essential oil.
As the year 2022 draws to a close and 2023 beckons, the frenetic energies of the festive season slows down after the 25th December and often evokes contemplation of the year that has passed and can often raise profound questions. What we’ve achieved maybe? where we’ve been, where we’re going next, what does life have in store? What do we want and how do we get there?
New Years Eve is an important time for making resolutions and considering life changes, whether it’s a trip you have always wanted to do, relationships, proposals, moving to another location, courses or career change. Whatever it is that feels aligned to your souls purpose for a happier life and fulfilling path; take the leap! Go for it! What is the best thing that can possibly happen? Manifest your life the way you want it to be, get out of the ‘dream’ and move it into being in your physical life. You are an amazing being and the creatrix of your own reality.
