Sacred Training with Priestess Dawn Kinsella
Welcome to the online "Sacred Celebrant" training program, a journey of transformation and discovery. Over six weekends, you will immerse yourself in the art of sacred celebrancy, guided by Priestess Dawn Kinsella. This comprehensive course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual insights needed to create and officiate meaningful ceremonies that honour the sacred moments in life.
Our time together will be both practical and profound, exploring the traditions and techniques essential to the role of a Sacred Celebrant. Beginning on Saturday, 8th March, 2025, each weekend will provide a unique focus, from connecting deeply with the elements of nature to crafting ceremonies that help individuals and communities mark pivotal life transitions. As part of your training, you’ll receive a course manual, class recordings, Professionally filmed ceremonies, ceremonial ritual exercises, and access to personal mentoring sessions. Our midweek sharing circles will offer opportunities to connect, reflect, and grow together as a community.
Throughout this training, you will grow not only as a Sacred Celebrant but also as a vessel of sacred service. By the end of this course, you will be ready to step confidently onto the world celebrancy stage with confidence, grace, sacred presence and all of the practical skills that only a Sacred Celebrant that has trained with SCA has in abundance.

Dates: Starting from Saturday 8th March 2025 Class Timing: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including lunch and comfort breaks)

Weekend One: Saturday March 8th – Sunday March 9th Online Sharing and Mentoring Wednesday 12th March 6pm
The Four Elements of Nature
Exploring the elemental energies of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, learning how these sacred forces of nature can be weaved perfectly within your ceremonies. Through ritual exercises on subtle energy work and the creation of ceremonial tools, you will create a foundation in elemental practice and ceremony.

Weekend Two: Saturday March 15th – Sunday March 16th : Online Sharing and Mentoring Wednesday 19th March 6pm
Naming Ceremonies
On this weekend you will discover the significance and variety of naming ceremonies.’ Adult naming and baby naming ceremonies, you will learn how to honour new beginnings and life transitions with sensitivity and creativity.

Weekend Three: Saturday March 29th – Sunday March 30th Online Sharing and Mentoring Wednesday April 2nd 6pm
How to Conduct a Handfasting & Renewal of Vows
This weekend focuses on handfasting and vow renewal ceremonies. You will explore traditions like the Hoop and Wand Ceremony, Jumping the Broom, and the Cake and Mead Ceremony, developing skills to conduct these rites with authenticity and personal style.

Sacred Uncoupling Ceremony
On this weekend you will explore and practice sacred uncoupling ceremonies, an offering for couples seeking conscious separation. You will also learn to conduct pop-up handfastings, perfect for festivals and events.

Weekend Six: Script Writing & Composition: Saturday June 3rd – Sunday June 4th
Finally, this weekend will centre on the Civil Celebrant of scripted wedding celebration services. You will cover client consultation and script writing. These skills are essential in translating your clients' visions into heartfelt wedding celebration ceremonies that reflect their unique stories. Here, you’ll explore how to connect deeply with your clients, crafting scripts that speak to the heart and create lasting memories.
